Re-launching
QuickBooks Desktop with high permissions may resolve the issue. Right- click
the icon of accounting software on your desktop >Run as Administrator.
Copy the company files
on the system users are working.
Below are the solutions to overcome this error:
Step 1. Download,
Install and Run QuickBooks file Doctor in your system.
Step 2. Rename
.ND and .TLG files
·
These are the configuration files which allow
the software to access the company files in a network or multi-user mode.
·
Infected or broken files can cause an error
while opening.
·
Renaming the file does not cause any harm to the
data as they are automatically refreshed when users open the file.
·
Below are the steps to rename the file:
Open
the folder which contains your company file.
Find
the file with the name similar to your company file but with extension .ND and
.TLG.
Right-click
> Rename add word “.old” after the extension file > Enter.
Step 3. Instead of mapped drive use UNC path
·
Right-click the Bookkeeping Software icon and
simultaneously press Ctrl key and select RUN as administrator. Keep pressing
the Ctrl key until “No Company Open” pops up.
·
Select file menu > Open > Next.
·
Click Network and Navigate to the location of
Users Company file on the left pane.
·
If users are unable to locate the folder of
saved files, they need to set folders permissions.
·
Select Company file > click open.
Step 4. Configure firewall and Internet security
software.
Step 5. Re-generate damaged folder.
·
Create a new folder on C:\ drive.
·
Find the folder where company file is located
with .qbw file.
·
Right-click .qbw file and select Copy.
·
Open new folder > Right-click > select
Paste.
·
Set Windows access permissions to share company
files.
·
Open the software and open the file from the new
location.
